Hello dear friend, what a glorious day we have as we join our brothers and sisters across the United States of America and the world in general to celebrate the day of emancipation (freedom). One is led to recall some words of the Emancipation Proclamation:

“...all persons held as slaves … shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free; and the Executive Government of the United States… will recognize and maintain the freedom of such persons and will do no act or acts to repress such persons, or any of them, in any efforts they may make for their actual freedom.”

The question is, is the world truly free? Are people from all nations around the world truly free? I guess we all know the right answer to those questions.

Friends, true freedom only comes from God through His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for you and I gain total freedom form the grip of darkness and Satan as shown in these Bible verses:

2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

John 8:36 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Psalm 119:45 “I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.”
